Think there's about 10 inches of snow - only 4 days of Winter and I'm so ready for Spring.
Have a fresh bale in the veggie garden, the 3 cows in the lower barn enclosure have a 2nd cutting bale, daily I give hay to the sheep. Would love to be able to give them a big round bale too but they just see it as a jungle gym or bedding, so it's daily, or twice daily rather.
Was interesting feeding the poultry today. Previously where I feed them was all trampled snow, but not today. It was high and fluffy and the grain sank into the snow. I didn't want to feed them where it was trampled where the sleep as they poop there too. Disgusting birds.
Star seems to have settled into the new routine in the lower barn enclosure. She didn't call for Shaw and Parrot today, and she no longer tries to enter the milk parlour but is happy to munch her ration of grain from the alpaca feeder. Gave them some BOSS today, always think the additional oil always helps in the cold and they do love it.
The cream line on the milk bottles is huge again, yippee. Not sure if it's just from Daisy May, or if Dolly is sharing more cream now too, just happy there's more for us again. Butter in our future :)
