Mama is protective and they are still at the bottom of the pasture. The little boy was outside the fence early this morning and I popped him back in, and Herbie said he put them both back in a little later as mama was lying against the fence on the inside, and they were lying against the fence on the outside.
Amy (and Beth) are excited, with Amy and Kylie coming to see them tomorrow, as maybe Strawberry and / or Liquorice would have had their lambs by then as well :).
The mosquitoes are a-plenty and a-hungry. I have lots of bites, and don't know which is worse, the poison I spray on myself to keep them off, or their bites !
Herbie dug some more holes for me to plant the plum trees, the blackberry bush and the comfrey, and now he is out mowing the hay field. It's been a difficult decision, there is lots of wild mustard growing in the field which we want to cut before it re-seeds, but the grass / alfalfa is not yet high enough, although the weather seems good for it - hot for the next few days. Saw some fields cut when we were out this morning, so maybe it's the right decision to cut now.
