When I went to milk her yesterday, she was standing just outside the lower barn door, and it took a bit of shaking the grain scoop to get her to enter the barn and then step up into the milking parlour. It's the first time I've seen her outside in forever. So pleased that her hoof seems on the mend and not hurting her as much. Still do the Epsom salts soak while milking, and she does well with it as it's become part of the routine. Larry is a bit skittish still, keeps a wary eye one me and skeddadles if he thinks I'm too close. Silly boy, he slipped twice yesterday in his haste to move away. For the first time, seen him munching hay with mum. Didn't have to clean up any gray / white watery poops, so think he's on the mend too. Still looks a little skinny to me, but watched him nursing from 3 teats, including her mastitis one. Just not the very low back one. Seems it's too low for him so he leaves it all to me :)
Allowed Anni to ride in Noddy for the first time. Had to coax her in, as she was unsure, but once we were driving she found she can put her head against my leg and I can pet her ad it's much smaller than the truck. Thinking about calling the truck Beast. But it is gorgeous, especially after Herbie washed and polished it.
Can't get over how nice this last cutting of hay is ! Soft and green and the animals love it. Dolly even eats it in her milking stall, although she does nose out all the grain from underneath it.
Have 3 lots of yoghurt and one of feta cheese I need to finish today. Been awake for a few hours already, so should probably rise and shine.
