Teri and Andy came over to pick up eggs for her mum, and Jackie is on her way over to pick up eggs as well, so this week-end should be good for egg sales. Pat and Sally came for a dozen as well, so I think the fridge is about empty.
Went and checked on the vegetable garden, and just collected another lot of eggs. Passing the sheep pen I saw that one of the newest twin boy lambs was outside the enclosure. Catching any lambs, except Wanda of course, is very challenging. They are skittish and I usually can only catch them when they try push through the fence again and don't fit. This boy ran down the far side of the yard, hesitated, made a feint to rush back, changed his mind, went down further, then decided to rush past me. I was standing next to the large stone we dug out when planting the posts for their fence, and the lamb leapt about 5 feet into the air to get past me, over the rock. I tackled him and brought him down, then pounced on him. It was pretty amazing, never knew they could get that much vertical ! Popped him back inside and he ran straight to mum to nurse a little, none the worse for wear.
Been out checking our garden. Think I can identify the camelina, although not the millet, cous cous or black sesame. Have decided to build the greenhouse in the herb garden where the comfrey and strawberries currently grow, so they'll have to be moved. Think I need to collect a lot more materials before I can start, but am growing a picture in my mind of how it could work. Want to install a rain-barrel next to it to catch the rainfall from the roof. I think it may be awesome.
Out planting tomato plants, and think I'll go have a try at getting the boy cows separated so that I can try load Gabriel. Jeremy is being very very patient with me.
