We also had our internet service installed, after a 2 week saga I'll happily forget about, until the contracts end and I have to go through the whole process again. And after only having a dozen local channels for the past 2 weeks, we are scheduled, for the 3rd time, to not only get satellite TV again, but with a free DVR and a couple of the premium movie channels free for 3 months. Herbies' dour "there won't be any good movies during that time" will hopefully not be actualised.
Mowed the lawn yesterday, probably for the last time this year.
Laying is way down. Have been finding 4 or 5 eggs every day, but today, only 1. The FrankenChickens are ballooning, and now lumber towards me when I enter their enclosure as fast as their huge legs can carry them, because I'm 'food'.
We've settled back into the milking routine, and I usually get both girls out before their tails rise. Augustus has become very skittish around me, doesn't see me as his milk provider anymore.
Got the truck back with all new fuel lines. Just in time to pick up the next lot of hay, and I bought 10 adult guinea fowl from my Friday herdshare owners' friends up in Stanton. Put them in used jute feed bags, 2 per bag, and although they weren't noisy all the time, I had to open the windows because they stank !!
