Delivering the 3 sheep to Daron and Grace tomorrow late, and will hopefully meet up with Salle to get my sheep shears back. Then we will be down to 15 sheep, with at least 1 slated for butcher, but still need to sell at least 4 ewe lambs from this Spring. Going to keep Wandas' girl, Snow. She's nearly all white and petite. Lacey wasn't happy yesterday, was keeping to herself so I went in with the grain bucket, caught her, checked her eyelids, very pale, so de-wormed her. She looks better today but I'm keeping an eye on her too.
Thoughts and prayers for my school-friend Joan in Australia, who has just been diagnosed with cancer. I haven't kept in contact with many of my school friends, and haven't heard of anyone else coming down with cancer, but it's just too horrible. I don't even know how I'd react if it happened to me. You live healthy, eat well, don't go overboard on the sins, and wham, the big C grabs ya ! So I'm reading up some more on it, educating myself on the what's, why's and how-to-handles' on it. I remember her from high school, beautiful pale skin and dark hair, lovely figure and she was spunky. God be with you Joan, and I'm here if you need.
Looks like we'll have the funds for a new furnace, but will install it ourselves as the installation costs will probably be horrendous, but still waiting for the actual quotes. Thanks God. This cold weather has started and going through a Michigan Winter without heat is not a consideration. Would have to move the animals into the basement so their body heat rises to warm us on the first floor, just like in olden times. Imagine having to shovel that shit out !
