He helped me this morning, took the 2 bales off the truck, man, they are nice alfalfa bales (lucerne for my SA friends and family) bright green with no frozen bits, took one out to the cows and put the other in the shed for the sheep.
Ben and Rita arrived to see the cows, with their son, daughter and baba girl. I heard a car struggling, so drove the buggy down to find them on their way up. Immediately threw the buggy into reverse and shot back up the drive back-wards so that they wouldn't lose momentum, but they did. Loaded them into the buggy and we went to see the cows. DH finished putting the snow thrower on the little tractor and cleared the top of the drive. I'll finish it as soon as my feet thaw.
Took Bambi to the milk parlour. She still has a bit of mastitis in that back quarter. Stripped as much out as I could and then shot another syringe of meds up that teat. Mabel really needs to suck that teat good.
I have frozen feet, one more so than the other as I couldn't break the ice on the one trough, so used my foot which dipped into the water. Now 4 hours later I'm chilled to the bone. Just took my insulated bibs off, and the two wet socks. Put them all in front of the heater to dry. Thinking I may need to have a hot shower to warm up as even a mug of tea isn't doing it.
