I moved the sheep back to the chicken yard in the dark after I finished baling, as Bill was coming with his tractor to break up their hay hill next to the feeder. When I got done milking, I saw his tractor parked below the van, but didn't see him. Not sure what arrangements were made, just that I had to move the sheep on Monday. With the sheep in the chicken yard, it makes it difficult for the poultry. Have no idea where the 2 duck eggs are this morning. Gave the chickens sour milk, rice and chicken livers yesterday to up their protein to encourage laying. Only getting about 3 eggs each day, yet they are eating as much corn as ever. The time has come to butcher the boys. Think I'll separate some out tonight and put them in the horse trailer for butchering tomorrow.
Currently making a 'Ginger Bug' in the kitchen. In a few days, I think I'll start a Tumeric one if the ginger one works according to the recipe. I plan on making ginger beer, and the bug is needed to start it. It's fermenting the ginger with sugar, sort of like a sour-dough starter for bread. Hope it turns out yummy.
Can hear that the dishwasher is finished, so will go an check that, and re-load if the "dry" cycle is complete. Also have 2 batches of laundry to pack away.
