Got the pantry painted with the final coat today. Should be able to move all my canned goodies into it tomorrow. Painting is not my favourite job, but oh, so satisfying once finished. I have paint in my hair, my shirt, me, but have already cleaned up the splats on the floor. Did most of the back door as well :). Once I can get the kitchen counter clear of food, and everything stacked in the diningroom packed away, should be able to get the house less cluttered.
Only just over 1/2 gallon of milk from Bambi again today. Actually took her back to the pasture for the first time since Mabel was born on Sept 11. Wasn't difficult, Anni helped. Left Mabel at the lower barn, and Bambi ate freah grass and bawled for her calf. After about 3 hours I took her back, also with Anni helping. Will do it again tomorrow and see if she gets the routine.
Dolly is supposed to calve on Wednesday, but I'm not sure that she's even pregnant. Thought her udder looked a bit bigger yesterday, but not near where it should be for an imminent calf.
Yep, the washing machine is buggered. Will ask Herbie to re-connect the old one back up, as I have a white load soaking in the broken one. I pushed the drum like my dad said, and it hits the back metal, so something has gone wrong with the drum.
Going to make sure the horse-trailer wheel is OK tomorrow, then going to take Pigtails, our one Scottish Highland girl, to auction. Mummy needs a new washer and the big tractor probably needs a new starter. Plus will need more money for hay.
Don't know what has happened with the sheep as Nichole hasn't come back to me. Maybe we should just butcher her here. That way she can have all the parts she wants.
Good night all.
