Dolly and Larry were doing the back and forth calling thing again this morning, and Daisy May is still wary but she may be getting over her major distrust of me. Gave her a bucket with a little grain while I was milking Dolly, but otherwise just moved around doing the milking and cleaning up. She's a quiet one, saw her nose to nose with Rosco while I was feeding the sheep. Left her alone in the lower barn enclosure after taking Dolly back. Will bring Dolly in again tonight, just want Daisy May to be more comfortable being with me.
Didn't see Gabriel out in the pasture this morning, nor when I took Dolly back, so after all the chores were finished I took the buggy and drove out back to see what he was up to. Found him, taking a whizz, just below the trailer where they've been eating hay. He doesn't look any worse for wear from his ordeal yesterday. I moved the trailer up to the back yard last night and left it open so the chickens could clean out all the spilled grain.
Discovered that I stood on something yesterday so I'm hobbling around today :( Put a plaster with Germolene and Epsom Salts on it to draw out whatever is broken off in my foot. Don't remember standing on anything yesterday, but with all the bare-foot sloshing around in the mucky mud, it could have happened anywhere. If it's not one thing ......
Not cutting any more hay, as it's overcast today, and although it's not supposed to rain today or tomorrow, I need to get that which is already cut dry and baled. Will see if I can rake it tomorrow, and then bale tomorrow late. Please God.
Well, have Daron and Graces' wedding on Saturday. Was thinking of maybe popping up to see Salle afterwards, seeing as it's halfway to her in any case. I'll check and see if she's there. Need to pick up my sheep shearers, was difficult yesterday not having them to patch their necks for the blood samples.
Well, breakfast is finished, so let me get back out there and do something constructive.
