I'm a little light headed from detoxing, my skin is healing from the various breakouts, but I seem to have a little more energy, or maybe that's the cup of coffee I had, not decaf today :) After milking, collecting hay and some other chores, think I'll get the old Champion running to make me some juice, carrot and pineapple, maybe with some grapefruit, lemon and beetroot thrown in. Herbie has been doing his own meals as I've been staying out of the kitchen, but the smells do torture. He did eggs, hash browns with mushrooms, sausage and toast today.
Lacey and her twins are doing great. Think I'll take them back to the others tomorrow. I don't usually separate the new mums and their lambs, but the little white boy-lamb was very cold and still wet. He isn't afraid of me and comes up to me in the lower barn, mum does too, but she's looking for grain treats ! His back legs are fine, he just had that little bit of weakness probably as he was so cold after being born. The little black boy is more recalcitrant, moves behind mum to get away from me. Photos are much better not taken under the red heat lamp. Felt them both, and they are warm. Their curls are tight and very very curly. Love lambs, especially with mashed potatoes:).
