It is so hot here that I've been running the air nearly all day. Come evening, when it's cooler outside, I switch it off and open all the windows. Come morning, I close them all again, pulling the blinds down where the sun comes in.
I reward myself after every outside lot of chores with 2 pennycools :).
Today I fixed fencing, but on switching the power on again, only have 2 green bars instead of 5 - so something is grounding out somewhere. Also picked a lot of horse nettles from the pastures. Damn stuff is poisonous to all the livestock and re-seeds from berries and from any piece left in the ground. Had a new set of leather work gloves. So nice to work with a pair that doesn't have holes !
Yesterday, the bulls were in the back pasture. They opened the gate and the electric wire was on the ground. Baler twine to the rescue. I re-attached the electric wire, and tied the gate shut. So far today, they've respected it.
Also got the rest of the cucumbers planted. Think there are over 20. These were from those Angie gave me from Izzys' starts.
Todays' weather forecast said a high percentage chance of rain tomorrow, but maybe later, if it's dry and the forcast is good for the next week, I may be able to start cutting the rest if the hay.
The travelling Americuana chicken has found her way back down to the lower barn from the chicken house where I put her. LOL, Herbie now checks the truck bed before leaving for work.
