Delivered Strawberry, Wanda and Laceys' nameless white boy-twin to Daron this afternoon. Had help putting them into the horse trailer, a smooth trip out. Grace was running a little late, and when she arrived we had dinner. Daron had cooked a chicken rice crockpot dish, made a light salad and opened a jar if peaches he'd canned himself ! Very impressive. Their little house is still being finished, but it's light as he installed windows and Grace chose a bright yellow paint. They don't have hot water yet, nor a stove as they are waiting for the natural gas lines to be installed. Not sure how they wash dishes, but they shower in his parents' house. I have some difficulty understanding Grace, would probably go easier if I spent more time hearing her. Daron translates well though :)
Missy gave me a scare this morning ! When I took Dolly back to the pasture after milking, Missy was lying out in the pasture on her side, head thrown back, belly huge, legs straight out, with Max lying about 5 metres away but with his legs tucked under him in a more "normal" position, and Levi standing close-by, eating. She didn't move, and I was trying to figure out how I was going to move her dead-weight. The closer I got, the more worried I got. She only moved when I was about 3ft from her ! Damn girl !
Didn't find any eggs yesterday, but found 8 the day before. Tonight when I got home, I found 4 although I didn't want to disturb the roosting chickens too much by searching for more.
