Currently washing windows. Have the lounge done, the front screen door, the sliding doors to the family room, and the outside of the family room and part of the outside of the dining room bay windows. I need to get them all done before the first frost / snow. Think it's the 2nd time I'm washing windows on the farm - not the most fun job. Previously, I've attempted to clean them when the weather has been too cold, and the cleaning fluid and water has frozen on the glass, therefore the need to finish them soon. I'm using RainX this time, a tip I picked up somewhere which I hope will keep the splashes from the ducks and geese off the windows. Still don't understand how they mess the windows that are as high as my head from the ground outside !
Tried to get the hay baled today, but the rake broke yesterday :( when I just started to rake. The high winds we experienced on Monday dried the hay that Herbie cut a week and a half ago, and which was then rained on, twice. I've been fixing the fencing around the hay field with the intention of letting the cows in to eat the cut hay, but it's been slow going. There's a 30% chance of rain tomorrow.
I was supposed to go visit Salle on Tuesday, but she had a Drs appointment, so we re-scheduled for today, but I postponed it trying to get the hay in, had arranged for Mike to come round to bale this afternoon, but had to cancel as I hadn't been successful in raking. Salle has a rake she doesn't use, so she'll take it's measurements, and I'll bring it back on the truck on Friday. Probably too late for this cutting though.
