They have this new catch phrase "Polar Vortex" to explain the horribly cold weather we've been experiencing here - another one is on the way. It's currently 3 degrees below freezing, but that is relatively balmy to the 11 degrees we had overnight, but neither take the wind into account. Baby it's fffrrrreezing, outside.
We did the chores together this morning - I fed the dogs and cats, DH did the chickens, ducks and geese and collected the eggs. I fed the sheep, he watered the cows, I watered the chickens, I took the hosepipe in, he put the buggy away.
No breakfast for him as he had a whole lot early this morning - buiscuits and gravy. He said he tried some with butter (to me they're scones and I eat them with butter and jam) but hell no, he prefers them with gravy !
Think DH found 5 eggs this morning, and there were another 5 tonight plus I found one in the garage - so have 4 dozen eggs ! Can sell 2, who do I offer them to ?
The 1 twin boy lamb has lost all his wool on his sides. He was the smaller one that I nursed back to health a few months ago. Wonder if the de-worming meds interferred with his wool production ? His under-wool looks very soft, but it's straight, not curly. When I told DH about him, he was relieved as he thought it was Wanda, whom he'd witnessed jumping one of the other lambs :). He may be the smallest in size, but his asperations are huge !
Played frizzbee with Anni while DH was filling the water for the cows. She was more careful today, going slowly the first few times while she figured out how slippery the ground was.
