As I was heating their milk this morning, Herbie came around to the kitchen window, their bellowing obviously driving him crazy and he thought I was not doing anything about it. It doesn't help that they were dehorned recently, both have a bit of blood still oozing, which is attracting the flies, so they're not happy.
Got my herbs planted, yippee. Wanted to mow the hayfield today, as we have clear weather until the rains expected on Monday, or plow up the veggie garden (around the wood pile heaped in the middle which didn't burn - it's too wet) or make more holes for posts for additional channels and pastures out back. Herbie brought the hay rake up to work on, so the tractor is attached to that. Damn, wish the big tractor was working, would make life sooo much easier. Trying to find an after-hours mechanic, so far not successfully.
Herbie was called in to work early again today, so hopefully he'll be home earlier tonight, but I won't get flat feed waiting.
I laugh at the geese and the goslings. The Toulouse and Toulouse mixes are vigorously protecting the goslings from their White Chinese papas.
Time to go back outside to get something done :)
