The puppies seem to love the snow and they are very adventurous now, this morning when I started walking the cows back to the pasture, 3 puppies were on the other side of the lower barn enclosure, playing in the wild raspberry thickets. On my way back, saw one puppy go after a chicken and nip her on the ass. She skedaddled, think he only bit feathers.
7 eggs yesterday, 4 today, including a blue/green one which was cracked lengthwise from the cold. Once in the house it sealed up although I could still see the faint line where it had split, so I cracked it into the puppy bowl for them to eat. They love raw eggs, but I don't want them to realise that it's eggs that I'm giving them so they don't go egg hunting for themselves like their papa and mum did.
Brought Marmalade into the house tonight, she buried her head in my neck (and her claws) seemed terrified as this is the first time I've let her into the house. She has a problem with her eye, it is swollen shut, so I brought her in to clean it and put in eyedrops. Wanted to keep her in the garage overnight, but have just let Anni back in and seen that Marmalade has gone back to the lower barn, the puppies were probably too much for her, although I put her on a towel on a table where they couldn't reach her.
