Herbie gets to spend Thanksgiving at home, but he has to work tomorrow instead. And he'll probably be home really late on Friday :(.
Got the lower barn completely cleared of cow poop this morning. Have a wonderful callus on my hand below my ring. But, I have use of my arm, can't be silly about it, but being careful and I'm nearly back to normal.
Some snow overnight, but not enough to cover. Gave the cows, horses and alpacas the 2 bales of hay, Herbie did the lower barn one, I did the pasture one with his help. Means I picked it up with the tractor and dropped it and then lifted it into position - took a few runs as the ground was mush and the back wheels kept spinning. Herbie opened and closed the gate, lifted the feeder, removed the netting and dropped the feeder back down. The horses were down in the bottom pasture with the middle barbed-wire strand, yet when I turned to see that the animals were eating, the 3 horses were spaced around the feeder not allowing the cows or alpacas to eat. So bossy.
Thank you Jackie for buying a 5lb block of sharp, uncoloured cheddar from the cheese factory for us. Much appreciated.
Off to bed with me, goodnight all ;).
