At around 3:30 am this morning, the dogs woke me with their barking. I went to check, as thought maybe the sheep had gotten out, again, as Rosco was barking in the front, with Anni and Sargeant joining in from the garage. Barefoot on the ice and snow, without glasses, they were trying to flush something from under the car. I went and got the torch, now it was up in the choke cherry tree, looked like an oppossum. Returned upstairs for a gown and my glasses, picked up the gun, put on shoes and went back out. Now they were barking up the locust tree in the driveway, looked up, a very scared cat ! Not one of ours, and Rosco and Anni wanted to take it apart. Told them not to be silly, shoo'ed Anni and Sargeant back into the garage, told them to go back to sleep, went back to bed. DH slept through the whole thing ! Maybe if it was a vermin and I'd shot it, he would have woken !
Have a new herd-share owner joining today, welcome Vicki. We have 7 families as owners now, need 3 or 5 times as many still, progress is slowly, slowly being achieved.
Well, suppose I should go face the day, and the milk cows.
