Herbie was called into work early, yuck, as I had the massage table ready, the room nice and warm, to give him a massage. But, he may be home early too, so that's good.
The insurance company returned our premium, they don't insure farms ! Not trying to insure the farm, only our house, but seemingly this is a gray area, do they think the livestock are going to damage the house ?? No Dolly, cows are to stay in the pasture and not come into the house to harm it ! I'm here all the time, thus the premises aren't unoccupied for 8 to 10 hours each day while we're off at work, so we are better able to catch any issues, but no, farms are special. We don't have any grain silos, only the house and the barn, and then the chicken house is also a permanent structure. It is annoying. We changed insurance as AAA increased their rates by 30%. We had no claims, the property values are still depressed, the cars a year older, but seemingly, they adjust every 4 years, so just suck it up. Talking to Herbie, we wondered if this was because people put in false claims in hard times to get money. I think insurance is a rip-off for honest people.
