Coming home after picking up 2 bales of hay, doing some banking, a little shopping, the wind was so strong it was moving banks of snow into the road. When oncoming cars passed, they whirled so much snow, I couldn't see anything but white. Happy I wasn't driving on any busy roads.
Found 9 eggs today, the longer days are working in our favour. Yippee, are starting some sales again.
Picked up a new mineral salt block for the cows at Tractor Supply, and went and checked the cows after I staggered out back with the 34 lb block. At last, there is some progress in Stars' udder. Maybe a calf will appear shortly, well in the next 2 or 3 weeks. Frogz came for her kisses, she stands up against me, and even Eli made a move towards me for air kisses.
Driving up the driveway, when the sheep saw me, they started running around, kicking their legs sideways, doing that stiff-legged bouncing. I think it's pretty cool when they act like hyperactive kids.
Made cauliflower in white sauce tonight, and put some chicken thighs into a marinade as well, for making oven baked Kentucky chicken. Thought I'd make gingered carrots as my DH absolutely loves cooked carrots. What for the something green ? Peas ? Brocolli ? Something crisp. Then think oven fries. See, I sort of cheated with food today. The only Campbells soup I like for eating as soup is their Tomato Bisque, so that's what we had for lunch, with homemade bread, butter for DH, marmite and cheese for me.
Think letting the cats into the house is a mistake. Now they try and shoot in whenever a door is opened, and Cooper climbed up the sliding door screen tonight. They seem to take turns meeow-ing and scratching at the pet door.
