My DH is ever so grumpy with the weather. He just wants to be warm, NOW ! Even his breakfast this morning didn't cheer him up. Today, I was the Farmers Wife. He did all the chores, I only cooked breakfast. Once Bandit arrived for his food, I went into the garage to feed him and Mischka, who also didn't arrive this morning as she was closed up in the barn, again. Silly cat. You'd think she'd learn that being in the shed when we close the doors is not a good idea. I wondered why she wasn't outside the glass sliding doors last night wanting to come in ! Didn't think.
On Tuesday we went to a couple of 2nd hand stores, after stopping for espressos and a cinnamon bun for me, coffee and a bagel for DH. I love going looking, he doesn't. Found a jar for ferments and a bottle for kefir at the local Goodwill, he stayed in the truck with Anni. I'm always on the hunt for something. Still need a burea of sorts for the middle guest bedroom to fit between the 2 single beds, looking for another few oil lamps, some cast iron cookware / bakeware, one or two more old oak dining room chairs with padded bottoms, a good working treadle sewing machine, another good ladder, any canning goods, a green been Frencher, quilts, a 12" mitre saw (our 10" fritzed), another push weedy wacker (ours died) just useful stuff for the farm.
Just seen Mr B running up and down in their enclosure. Stood up and watched him. He races to the covered enclosure, does a little jump and a turn inside and races back past the corner where I can't see, then bing, back he comes, racing to the covered enclosure again. Did this a few times. Courting ? Wanda seemed interested. Darron, the lad who bought Pearl from us is interested in Strawberry and Wanda, as well as one of Laceys' lambs when they come. I learnt something new. He's deaf, but said that noisy situations hurt his head. He's worried that the sheep may be too noisy. Only the triplets and their girl lambs, and only when they're hungry or when they see me LOL.
