Yesterday I cut the overgrowth down the driveway. Took 7 buggy loads, and tipped it all over the fence into the sheeps' enclosure and today it's raining again, and Herbie says that all the waterladen branches have turned the driveway back into a tunnel !
Today I'm a lucky girl again ! Herbie brought me a dozen long-stemmed red roses, and a $100 note, ½ of his winnings on a scratch card. He usually gives me his winnings, and I don't have to share any of his losses.
The horses were funny this morning. Yesterday they didn't want to leave the barn to eat as it was raining. This morning they were waiting for me, so I fed them before I fed the sheep. The young chicks mob me for food. I have to shuffle my feet otherwise I'll step on them. The 2 sitting ducks still flap and hiss when I give them grain. Discovered that the poultry had pecked one of the grain bags in the garage to pieces, and ate about 45lbs of corn ! Damn birds.
Daisy May is bagging, and Dolly is positively ginormous ! Please, girls ? Drop the calves already. But I suppose when they do I get back into daily milking :/.
