Last night the temperature dropped to 33 degrees F, just above freezing.
Drove back up to Sheridan to pick up the wood cook stove. The 2 small movers dollies and the 2 x 8ft planks to use as a ramp. DH and Keith, the seller, pushed it up onto the back of the truck, and I helped get it off here at home.
Spent the rest of the afternoon getting it situated, with a couple of trips to Menards and Tractor Supply. It has an oval opening at the back, the roof fitting is, of course, round. Needs a couple of kinks to match up.
Moving all the furniture to get the stove in and the fireplace out, means that I got the bug to move a couple of things around, of course I did. Moved the desk with the computer down into the lounge, and switched the bench and trunk around in the front entrance hall. Then swopped the 2-seater couch in the lounge with the single chair, moved the planter sideways next to the desk. Did some vacuuming, and think I may have some get up and go to get some more things done. That's always a good thing :)
Urg, the washing machine seems to be on the blink again, doesn't spin properly, leaving the wash so wet it needs triple the time in the drier. I unplugged it to re-set the computer, but that doesn't work !
Put the pears that have been cooking for a few days through the food mill, but they are still gritty. Then tried to break it down with the immersion blender, didn't work, so scooped it into the Vitamix. Which leaks ! The part that leaked was deliciously smooth, sort of tasted like baby food, with sherry, but the pears in the blender was still gritty.
