When I went out to check on the cows this morning, Bambi heaved herself up and wandered off as soon as she saw me, Mabel following. So, not going to even try and round her up on foot, just going to take the buggy out to get her. This is going to be a bigger problem when the snow comes. But it looks like she's in the routine of the buggy takes her to milking.
Found 3 eggs in the chicken house this morning, and was surprised to see that the doors were still closed and all the glass was still present. Nothing broke, amazing. The rabbit hutch roof was blown off, and the West roll-up door in the shed was blown inwards out of its track. Going to need additional strength and hands to force that back into place.
The wind blew the tunnel door open last night. How did I know ? Well, a bat flew upstairs. Switched all the inside lights off, propped the kitchen door open with a paint can, put the garage light and the outside light on, then went down to the basement to close the door. Didn't find the bat anywhere, so presume it flew out the garage, although I didn't see it go this time. Sshhh. Don't tell my DH. He's not a fan of bats.
Teri came over for some eggs and milk today, didn't visit long as I think I may still be contagious.
My eyebrow is healing nicely. The scabbing has already come off my cheek, and a small part of the gash has come off as well. No longer tender to touch so I think all the infection is gone, lavender oil is a blessing.
Need to go milk that cow, do some shopping as we are out of some essentials, plu need a load of hay
