I defrosted some Jersey cow colostrum and fed it to them by bottle, they each took a little. I've put them together so that they can sleep with the warmth of the other, but will have to check on them regularly, I really really don't want more lambs to bottle feed ! Izzy is demanding enough. Put molassess in a bucket with water for Strawberry, but think the other sheep drank it while I was drying and feeding the lambs. She takes grain from me, but not hay.
What a day. My legs are covered in lamb birthing yellow stuff, I'm covered in mozzie bites, eyes itching from the haying and giving hay to the sheep. 3 lambs in the garage, the twins, named Fudge (girl she's brown, very like Izzy) and Fish (boy - looks like papa Sockeye - Salmon - Fish but with black spots as well) being bottle fed every 3 hours with colostrum, can hear them now, and Izzy who escaped the sheep pasture where I'd put her after she climbed into the miniature Japanese Maple again ! Anni went missing and didn't come when I called, so no bone for her, only Sargeant seems to be behaving himself, but he's so dirty and smelly that I don't want him on me.
Think I'll climb in the shower, and then come back downstairs to tackle the kitchen. Need to make butter, need to clean out buckets for milk tomorrow, need to clean the kitchen and all I want to do is climb into bed. Oh well.
