After milking this morning, I went out to give these some hay, and pulled a something in my left thigh. Was carrying the bale, which was rather heavy, my foot slid forward in the mud and poop and oops, hurt something. Found it is easier to get Bambi up into the milking parlour when she's hungry ! So I put out fresh hay for her after milking. She's a bit of a bully with the calves, but then that's the way of the animal world, the larger animals push the smaller ones around. She was waiting at the gate for me this morning, and came right in. Didn't mess in the milking parlour either, didn't stand on any of the lines, just came in, was cleaned and milked (and she wasn't that dirty either) dipped and left.
Coolish and rainy today. I know we always need the rain, and I know I moan about this a lot, but wet, muddy, poopy is not a favourite of mine !
Jim and Jenny back from their vacation today, so have all our herd-share owners this month for milk, and maybe another one shortly.
Remember Laura who bought 2 of our 2013 lambs earlier this year, and then I delivered another 3 sheep to her about 3 months ago ? Well, this morning she texted me advising that BaaBaa presented a black and white ram lamb this morning ! She had a ram lamb on March 14 this year, and I thought they only got preggers in Autumn for Spring births ! So she's watching Muffin, and I'm watching Lacey and the other girls here as it seems as if Prince was busy in May ! I really don't need additional lambs now, wow !
Only went to sleep about 4 am this morning. DH only arrived home about 3:30 and although I was already in bed, came downstairs to chat a little with him. When I call "heeeyyyy" from the bedroom he complained as he felt he had to traipse upstairs to see me as I wasn't sleeping yet, so I've been coming down when I hear him.
