It's just getting light, and I'm lying in bed listening to to roosters crowing, the geese calling, Herbie snoring :). Expected to be a scorcher today - 90 degrees F.
Re-raked the cut hay yesterday as it wad still a little wet on the underside, but have to bale today as rain is expected tonight with a cold front moving through.
Salle visited unexpectedly yesterday as she brought more sheep to Jones for butchering. Her sales are doing well :). Herbie was home, and after Amy collected their milk, we had my Greek-style yoghurt with fresh cherries. She'll be back next week Thursday to collect her meat, and we'll hopefully shear some more sheep and the alpacas.
Dollys' foot seems to be getting a bit better. She's had pus for 2 days now, with a bit of blood yesterday, so the Epsom salts are working. Drawing the yuck out. Not sure why she's having these issues, gives me additional work feeding and watering her, and shovelling shit ! Thankful that Herbie reattached the tap top to the water pipe, so I can just turn on the tap to give her water and don't have to carry buckets anymore.
The new Buff Brahma roosters are starting to get their voices. Such funny starter-crows.
Need to do a lot today - take Anni and Rosco to the vet for their shots, collect 1,000 lbs of corn from Mike, buy 50lb bags of dry dog food - all things I need the truck for. Noddy is cute but not a hauler !
