Went to the ortho guy yesterday, a Dr Putz (unfortunate name, no ?) After chatting to me about what happened, how long ago, any improvements, he gave me a analgesic shot, waited a while and when I had more movement, gave me another shot, cortisone. Could take up to 72 hours to be effective, but my arm was numb and totally useless for the rest of the day. Feeling a bit better today, although it still hurt in bed last night. Also gave me a script for physical therapy for 2 weeks, and a brochure of home exercises that I need to do to build strength in the arm. No surgery currently indicated, whooppee ! Will wait a little before going to the therapy as our co-pay for him was $50 and we are a little tight after paying out our Summer taxes. Love it when you have to pay before you actually get to see the guy.
Saw Jim last night as he came to get their milk early. He says that the milk has be watery. Oh, I know it doesn't have as much cream as Dolly is holding a lot of it for Larry, but we haven't noticed it being watery. He is also not having much success making yoghurt or milk kefir. Our yoghurt is great, but I'm not making milk kefir yet. Hmmm. Same cow, same pastures, same grain at milking, just the supplemental hay is more grass than alfalfa, but the same cutting from the same farmer, and some of ours. Will keep an eye on her, and see if anyone else has comments.
