Busy morning. Had Teris' son, Jordan, daughter-in-law, Melissa, and grandkids, her mum, Doris and sister, Linda, visited to see the animals and buy eggs. Pat and Sally arrived with their dad to get eggs, then Brian and Judy arrived to buy the 4 goslings I caught last night. They were rather sorry looking as I'd put a full water bowl in their container so they'd splashed their food and bedding sopping wet, and were begraggled and huddled together.
Then got a bee box ready with some frames, a top and bottom. Jackie came to fetch me and we went over to Steves' house. He must have 200 active beehives at his place. Will be loading my bee box with a queen and workers, and I'll pick it up early next week. Then we went up past Greenville to the Menonite store, and then to the greenhouse and on to her daughters' house where I met Melanie and her husband, Doug. They were gardening, we had some salad and then went for ice-cream.
Got home around 7:30pm to find Wanda had a single little ewe-lamb. A tiny little thing. Gave mum some grain, returned the little one through the fence slats, twice. Went to check if Dolly had a calf, but nothing. Opened a new pasture for the cows and Boytjie was very well behaved.
